Client applications are available for a vast number of client platforms including set-top boxes, mobile phones, personal digital assistant (PDA) devices, personal computers and Mac computers.

The convergence model allows us to develop the graphical user interfaces for different client types and thus connecting the devices into a joint “cloud” of features and services that exist in the Multimedia Gateway Cloud.

By utilizing multiple delivery platforms and thus incorporating advanced features of the convergence model, enhanced levels of interactivity are made possible for the subscribers to enjoy. These enhanced levels of interactivity are the basis for the development of our graphical user interfaces.

While developing the graphical user interfaces we are constantly focused on two main issues:

  • user friendly interface, in spite of using highly advanced multimedia features
  • responsive and intuitive user interface, which is of the utmost importance for an interactive service like IP-TV

The result of a good development plan is an extremely responsive, graphically rich, fully functional, and intuitive graphical user interface.

Because of the utilization of industry standard open technologies The Perception® Platform’s client applications are easily deployed to any open or semi-open platforms, including Symbian platforms and virtually any Unix-based platforms.
