Features: Multimedia Auditorium
One of the unique features of The Perception® Platform is the Multimedia Auditorium portal for the set-top box clients. This revolutionary portal represents a central library for all multimedia content available to the subscribers, by the subscribers.
Using their mobile phone cameras, PDAs, PC or Mac clients, the subscribers can upload images, music, documents and other multimedia content to their rented network storage space.
These multimedia assets are categorized in the Multimedia Auditorium and displayed on the set-top box clients as a centralized multimedia library.
Highlighted features:
- Viewing uploaded pictures and images, either one by one or as a slideshow presentation
- Viewing and presenting of the PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT and other document files, either one by one or as a slideshow presentation
- Listening of user uploaded MP3 music files categorized by albums, artists and other parameters using ID3 tags as source, including cover art display
- Asset sharing between user profiles and/or client devices
- Advanced shuffle, repeat and other functionalities for subscribers comfort
The Perception® Platform is built on top of industry leading open standards, which ensures that the list of supported multimedia asset types can be easily expanded. This is a breakthrough achievement and one of the main convergence advantages of the software platform.
