Recording services

Recording services work hand in hand with our Streaming services, acting as a source for Network PVR and Pause Live TV content. Each recorder is assigned a number of sources to process. If the provider chooses to add more channels to its offer, additional recorder servers can be added with ease, without any impact on functionality and with no downtime.  Each source can be recorded on more recorders simultaneously, and failover mechanisms are put in place, so that no data is lost in case of hardware failure.

Recorded content is automatically pre-processed with CA subsystems which run on the application layer (e.g. Verimatrix CA), fully automating the content ingestion process.

Recordering services are aware of all other servers in the grid, which enables them to dynamically split the load over a multitude of storage units, utilizing an intelligent algorithm which maximizes throughput and seeks out any potential bottlenecks.
